Firearms And Liberty - Shade's Landing Inc. Carry Permit MN

Where Conservatives Gather

We live in the best of times and the worst of times...

My old home state of Illinois debates gun control as a method to reduce gun violence. Wake up people and just look at Chicago!

I am amazed in this debate at how much the left just really does not understand about gun rights and our 2nd Amendment. Even in the face of two US Supreme Court decisions they insist on attempting to ban commonly used semi-automatic rifles which the Supreme Court said can not be banned (they said firearms in common use are protected firearms under the 2nd Amendment).

It really does show the divide between people who wish to control not guns, but their fellow man. Instead of focusing on the root causes of gun violence (like mental illness), they demonize the gun. A little like demonizing Chevrolet or Ford for the drunk driver.

While it's true that we've come a long way since even the 1970s in terms of recognizing an individual's right to self defense, we are still so very far away from this being considered common knowledge.

How is it that a person can truly believe that it is morally correct to NOT allow someone to defend themselves as they see fit? How is it that many of those same individuals after experiencing a violent encounter will go out and arm themselves. They don't see the hypocrisy or double standard but rather intensify their efforts to disarm everyone else around them. Is that not so Senator Diane Feinstein?

I can only conclude that there is an end game to their madness. And that is total control of every man, woman, and child in America. And they start the indoctrination in grade school.

How many of can truly say we are free when in reality we are managed like cattle? How many can truly say we are free when here in MN we can't even legally own bottle rockets for use on the 4th of July. How many can say we are free men and women when the government actively seeks to tell us how to live our lives and they and Hollywood denigrate our morals and character and attempt to substitute theirs?

You are unpatriotic if you choose the life of the child over the wishes of the mother. You are unpatriotic if you believe in the individual and not the hive. You are unpatriotic if you cling to your guns and religion - in fact you may be a terrorist according to our government. You are unpatriotic if you criticize the first black (1/2 black) President in our country's history - why you're even considered racist for disagreeing with his policies.

Which leads me to the ultimate question: When did we go so wrong?

If you believe in the Republic then my friends, pray for the Republic. As someone said on the radio yesterday when they paraphrased Dickens: "We live in the best of times and the worst of times"
