There are several new gun rights bills and many new hunting laws being proposed in the Minnesota House and Senate... Among those are a bill HF 0431 to eliminate the restrictions on scopes being magnified on muzzle loaders for visually impaired hunters (Beard is the author).

HF 0124 is a proposed change by Representative Holberg to allow MN carry permit holders to have a sidearm with them while hunting deer by archery (which is currently illegal).

HF 0131 is a proposed amendment tot he MN Constitution recognizing the right to keep and bear arms for defense, hunting, marksmanship and recreation and that it is a fundamental right and shall not be infringed. Hackbarth is the author.

HF 430 is another proposed amendment to the MN Constitution that recognizes the right to keep and bear arms as a fundamental right (and it shall not be infringed). McElfatrick is the author.

HF 0161 is a bill to extend the validity of purchase permits required for the purchase of firearms to five years from the current one year. Drazkowski is the author.

And we have one anti-gun bill (HF 0547) in the house authored by Paymar which would ban private transfers of firearms at gun shows.

Call your state Representatives and Senators to support: HF 0431, HF 0161, HF 0131, and HF 0124.
