'Tis the season!..... We want to thank everyone who looked us up and took a class or bought merchandise through our store. We've again made some very good friends this year and look forward to serving you in the the years to come.

To summarize 2010:

* Recertified with the BCA for another five-years as an approved training organization for Minnesota Carry

*We started off still benefiting from the "Obama effect" as those in the gun industry called it. Classes were packed through May of 2010

*Gander decided on a policy of charging firearm instructors $50 per student for use of their facilities and we severed ties with them.

* Despite the move away from Gander Mountain stores, we're closing in on 6,000 firearm class students. We're only a couple hundred away and might even make the magic number sometime in January.

* We received our FFL in March of this year and opened our custom shop in Grasston MN (See TacticalFirePower.com). We are a full non-stocking dealer, manufacturer of custom firearms and NFA weapons, and gunsmith.

* Moved Gander Classes from Lakeville to Rascals in Apple Valley, St. Cloud classes to the InRange in Monticello, and Woodbury classes to Davannis in Woodbury

* New for 2011 - We're no longer holding classes in Woodbury, but have added Eagan to our roster for evening classes.

* Added four NEW Advanced handgun classes for 2011: Defensive Shooting 101, 201 and 301 plus a Concealed Carry Tactics course. AND we lowered the prices on our advanced classes to $175 from $250.

* Added more Women's Only Courses for 2011 to be held on Sundays at the American Legion in Apple Valley MN.

* Opened a Facebook Page for the company and a personal one for me.

On a personal note, I got to reconnect with many of my high school friends this year at our 40th, yes... 40th reunion! What a blast. It was good to see Grant, Mike, Jeff, Skip, John D. and those from the old neighborhood like Mike D., Scott B., Vicki W., Donna C. and Michelle B. And my old dear friend Karen and her brother Kurt. The three days went by all too quickly.

All in all - not a bad year despite the downturn in the economy. We've survived one more and look forward to doing even better in 2011.

We want to thank everyone who has dropped by our new Facebook page to say hi and add us a friend and for everyone who chose us for their firearms training. To our new and our old friends, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
