Where Conservatives Gather

Bye - Bye Gander Mountain

GANDER GREED... After nearly seven years of providing firearm training and conceal and carry courses at the various Gander Mountain stores around Minnesota and Wisconsin, we will be parting ways with them as of May 15th 2010.

Gander has made a corporate decision and policy change that we do not believe is in our best interests or that of our students. We've therefore made the decision to part ways with them as of May 15th and urge all of students to look to Cabelas or Scheels for your outdoor needs and to Shade's Landing Inc. for your self defense needs including firearms and custom work.

Our new locations for training will be in Burnsville, Eagan and Woodbury and we are working on a St. Cloud location. Stay tuned to our web site as we get all the Gander Mountain classes rescheduled to our new venues.

To kick off our NEW independence from Gander Mountain, we’re offering you a sweet deal! Bring us a published price (from or a verifiable price on a gun in stock at a Gander Mountain store), and we’ll beat any published Gander Mountain price on the following handguns: Glock, or Smith and Wesson M&P. The terms: Our distributor must have them in stock and your order must be prepaid. We’ll make you very happy with the price we quote you.

We’ll have information on this offer available on our web site the weekend of May 15th – when we officially part ways with Gander Mountain.

If you are looking for good tactical bags and backpacks, we’d like to suggest looking at Voodoo Tactical. I’ve recently purchased a Level III assault pack and molle add-ons, a “terminator” bag and my tactical bag (which my wife refers to as a “Murse” – but it’s not). Check them out! Some really good items there and if I get time, I’ll be reviewing them on this blog.

Iowa has just passed a shall issue law and it appears that they will be recognizing any and all other states carry permits and licenses. So our MN permit should be good in Iowa when the law takes effect on January 1st, 2011.

That’s it for now – Stay safe and God Bless. We appreciate your referrals and your permit renewal sign-ups.
