Note: These are NOT DNR Hunter safety courses. See your Department of Natural Resources for Hunter Safety certifications.

NRA Basic Rifle
Tuition: $150
This is a two day course.
Classroom (Day 1): 10 hours
Range (Day 2): 2-4 hours

This is a great course that all rifle shooters will want to take. It serves as a refresher in basic rifle fundamentals for experienced shooters and a great way to introduce new shooters and hunters to rifles and their safe operation and handling.

The NRA Basic Rifle course teaches:

safe firearm handling
firearm parts and operation
ammunition and its function
shooting fundamentals and an opportunity to develop them on the range
how to select, clean and store a firearm
review of various activities available to help participants develop and improve their shooting skills

Graduates will receive an NRA certificate of completion on completing the course. We'll include a rifle sight in session on range day for all students.

Bring a spouse, friend or your children (14 years old or older) and your group will each get a $25 discount per student tuition.

NRA Rifle or Shotgun First Steps

Length: 3 hours including one hour range time
Tuition: $50

The NRA Rifle First Steps course is taught in one evening and includes one hour of range time (scheduled separately).

The First Steps course is for new shooters.

It provides hands-on orientation to one specific rifle or shotgun, in as little as three hours, including a one-hour shooting session on a range (scheduled separately).

This class is scheduled on demand. Call us at 952-891-1537 and we will arrange to host the NRA First Steps class at a convenient location in Minnesota or Wisconsin. Note: We need a minimum of four students to host a class.

Graduates will receive an NRA Certificate of completion on completing the course.

Call 952-891-1537 to register for the next NRA First Steps Rifle or First Steps Shotgun Class. It's a great class for a parent or parents to take with their children who meet the minimum age for hunting.
