This is my first attempt at HTML formating the Federalist Papers.

The Federalist Papers have been HTML'ized from version 16 of the Project Gutenberg Etext of the original Federalist Papers. No effort has been made to correct spelling or grammatical errors within any of this text.

The Gutenberg Etext also suffered from a lack of paragraph breaks on Federalist Papers 40 through 59. I have made paragraph breaks only where it was absolutely obvious that a break should exist, according to the layout of the original ASCII files. I will attempt to make proper paragraph seperations in these papers in the near future, from the original text or any version of the Gutenberg Project which corrects this situation. Please be patient.
