Minnesota Firearms Carry Permit Renewal Class!

This course is for any current Minnesota permit holder whose permit is about to expire (within one-year). We've given you three easy ways for you to take a renewal class with us (see below).

Minnesota law requires you be taught the laws and the legal use of deadly force, as well as firearm safety and handgun basics with an actual shooting qualification exercise.

Minnesota requires that you take a carry class in order to renew your permit. For a limited time, we are offering Minnesota Permit holders the chance to renew their Minnesota permit training for only $65!

Simply register online or by phone and state you will be attending ANY of our Minnesota or Multistate-36 carry courses to renew. You can also get your Utah permit application at these courses for an additional $25 (offer valid only for those renewing their MN permits).

~ Or ~ register for our new one-evening course. We typically will meet at the range first and then complete the classroom portion of the course. Note: This is a Minnesota only renewal course and the Utah permit training is not offered at this class.

We were the first in Minnesota to offer a multi-state permit course for our students. Our students can choose from obtaining permits from Minnesota, Utah, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, North Dakota* Connecticut, Maine and more! At last count, you can legally carry in 34 states with combined permits (source: Handgunlaw.us)

We offer training that meets and exceeds the training requirement for multiple states. Our 7 - 8 hour course includes our own Multi-State Carry course. We have all students perform an actual shooting exercise that meets and exceeds the requirements for Minnesota, Florida and Utah. Range fees are separate and paid directly to the range.

Utah & Florida Carry Class

Get the training needed to apply for the two most valuable carry licenses in America: Utah and Florida! Utah allows a non-resident to carry in 29 states and all for $65.25 (paid to the State of Utah separately) for a five year permit. You can even use your Utah permit for lawful carry in Minnesota (subject to change by the MN BCA). And when it is time to renew, it's only $10 and NO CLASS is required for renewal of your Utah permit!

NOTE: If you have had an alcohol related traffic violation (i.e. DUI / DWI) within the last SIX years (from the time of being released from supervision or completion of sentence) then you are NOT eligible for the Utah permit. Be sure of your status bfore you sign-up for this class!

This is our value packed Minnesota carry course. Learn and review the basics of firearm safety, the ethics and laws regarding the carry of a firearm on or about your person in public.

The class includes topics such as how to choose a reliable carry pistol or revolver, When you are legally justified to use deadly force in the State of Minnesota to defend your life or that of another. Morals, ethics and tactics are also discussed in this one-day course.

The class also includes and actual shooting qualification exercise using real firearms that we supply or your own firearm. Range fees are separate and paid for by the student. Student is responsible for providing their own firearm and ammunition or the student may elect to borrow one of our firearms, but is still responsible for range fees and ammunition.

Perfect for the new firearm owner or the person considering their first purchase of a firearm. In the Home Firearm Safety course students are taught the fundamental elements of gun safety and the rules for safe gun handling. You'll also learn how to identify and unload different types of firearms and learn different types and uses of ammunition. Finally students learn how to clean, care for and to safely and responsibly store their firearms.

Defensive Shooting 101

Here are some photos from our May 2008 class

Defensive Shooting 101 will give you the skills needed to survive a violent encounter. In this class you will learn the technical skills such as drawing and reholstering, how to move and shoot and hit your target. How to reload under stress and why tactical reloads may save your life.

We spend the afternoon is on the range where you will be introduced to practice drills to hone your defensive shooting skills. You will need to supply your own ammunition (approx. 250 rounds). You will be tested under timed shooting drills designed to increase your proficiency under stress.

NOTE: This class is open to current permit holders only. You must show a valid carry permit on the day of the class.

Our defensive handgun course is held at our facilities about an hour north of the Twin Cities.

Defensive Shooting 101C - Mental Preparation
3-4 Hours - Classroom Only

This is the follow on course/seminar to our Defensive Shooting 101 course. We cover mental preparation such as visualization, advanced shooting techniques with the Glock semi-automatic pistol, What we call the Power of Two, the A3 rule and more. This unique course also looks at holsters, and tactical carry clothing, and includes a multimedia demonstration of low light to zero light shooting and choosing the proper equipment.

NRA First Steps Pistol - 3 Hours
(Including Range Time)
Tuition: $75
(Plus range fees)

Our First Steps Pistol course is designed for new pistol and revolver owners. Students also experience shooting a firearm at the range following the classroom portion of the course.

We teach you the fundamentals of firearm safety and marksmanship, how to identify ammunition, the safe storage of firearms and ammunition, and how to clean and care for firearms. This is a pistol or revolver specific class. A .22 pistol or revolver will be used in the class. This course also includes range time (and can be arranged on an individual basis with the instructor following the course - range fees are additional and are paid directly to the range).

This course also meets the prerequisite requirements for our Concealed Carry course for new shooters (experienced shooters do not have to take this course).

North Dakota Resident & Non-Resident
Permit Training Exam $25 Exam Fee + $25 Application fee

Get Your North Dakota Resident or non-resident permit by taking a simple 10 question multiple choice test! 18 - 20 year olds welcome! You only have to be 18 years old to get a North Dakota permit to carry. Though most states that recognize the ND permit, do require you to be 21 to carry there. However 18 - 20 year old permit holders can legally carry in North Dakota and Indiana currently.

The North Dakota requirement is to take a 10 written test. The student must answer all ten questions correctly.

Testing normally takes less than the one-hour allowed by North Dakota law.

One Day Homeland Security Seminar
with
4 Hr. Utah Permit Course

This special one day ( 8 hour) seminar is held once a year on the anniversary of 9-11. It combines our own state approved Utah concealed carry course and important information on how you can develop a strategy to survive civil service disruptions in the event of another terrorist attack. Learn about known terrorist groups that are currently active in the world and within the U.S. Learn what actions our government would like all citizens to take in helping to identify possible terrorist threats.

The morning session will look at terrorism from multiple perspectives including federal, state and local and examine why so many agencies each have their own definitions of terrorism. Who are the terrorists? Why do they hate America more then they value their own lives? How can we as civilians prepare for the next terrorist attack? These questions and more will be discussed at this important seminar.

The remainder of the afternoon session will be spent on meeting the training requirement for one of the most valuable firearm carry permits available today: Utah. Non-resident Utah permits are recognized in 28 states - including Minnesota.

Attendees will receive a signed Utah permit application and TWO certificates of completion: Our own certificate that shows you have meet the requirements for a Florida, Utah, Main, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania permit to carry. The other certificate shows that you successfully completed our Homeland Security Basics Seminar.
