This is kind of belated but I wanted to tell you how much Nancie and I
enjoyed our class time with you last Friday. Your teaching skills were
fun, informative, and thorough. Nancie in particular was pleased that
regardless of points of view you presented the important moral and
judgment issues in fair, realistic, and common sense manner.

As an aside you were correct about Washington County as well. I had my
permit in my hands within 41 hours of submitting it including USPS time.
Pretty dang speedy for 2 government agencies.

Dear Mr. Shade,
I wanted to write and thank you for the fine conceal and carry permit
class you and Jason conducted. You both have teaching styles that are
informative, entertaining and likeable. As a lawyer, I thought you handled
statutory law and common law very well.

There were at least three lawyers
in your class that day, Kyle T., Mark C., and myself. Your
comments regarding the current state of the law provided the three us with
interesting discussion material as we traveled to and from the range in
the same car. The fourth member of our party that day was Bob M.

I also appreciated your commentary on having a strong moral compass and
moral relativism. I speak to the issue of moral relativism quite
frequently and would like to use your snowflake metaphor if that would be all right.

Wanted to let you know that I dropped off my application at the close of
business at the Carver County Sheriff's office on November 27th and I
received the permit today on the 6th with an issue date of 12/4/07.
