The Crime bill, aka "Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act
of 1994," including an Assault Weapons ban, passed the House and Senate
and is now law. This ban also includes magazines which hold more than
10 rounds.
This is one of the most flagrantly anti-Constitutional rags ever drafted,
and it is terrifying that it ever made it into law!
The message from Congress is obvious: This is the start of blatant tyranny
in America. (As opposed to the subtle tyranny that the government has been
brewing for the last 90+ years.) Only time will tell if the 104th Congress
will do anything about it, but there is talk of repealing the assault weapon
ban portion of the bill. President Clinton has come out in a press statement
that he will veto any such attempts.
